My due date

So I'm due on January 12, but I'm going to talk to the doc about a having a scheduled c-section on Jan 11. I had a c-section with my son, so my doc told me I could try to have a natural birth or have another c-section, it's my choice.

News

Last week I found out that I'm pregnant again!!! My baby boy is going to be a big brother!!!
I went to the doctor today and we discovered that I'm approx. 8 weeks along, but we won't know for sure until I have an ultrasound done. So I have to go to the hospital tomorrow, get a bunch of paperwork filled out, and schedule the ultrasound. The only not so good thing about this is that I'm due on Dec. 24. The Christmas season is THE worst time to have a birthday.
But as long as it's healthy and happy, nothing else matters.

Babies aside, we still haven't found out if those people that robbed us have been caught. We've been receiving a lot of annonymous phone calls, since we were robbed, and I've received threatening messages on my cell. THEY robbed US, we should be the ones threatening them not vis-versa.
But we're getting on with our lives, and right now we couldn't be happier!!!!

Why would someone do this?

Last week Chris and I had a surprise visit from my (former) best friend Charlene and her boyfriend Jason. Everything was going good, we were having a good time. Chris and I told them that they could stay as long as they needed. While they were here, they tried to pawn a bunch of electronics "so that they could get home," and Jason was sick and had to go to the clinic, the doc diagnosed him with Vertigo and prescribed dome meds. On Friday, Chris and I went To Dawson Creek to get me some new bras. While we were there (we had been there for maybe 20 minutes already) I got a call, from Charlene, on my cell. I couldn't understand most of what she said, the only wordsd I could uderstand were "we'll meet you in 20 minutes to give back your house keys." I gave her my key in case they went out.
10 minutes later we met them in the parking lot, she gave me my key, took some pics of me with her camera, and left.
Chris and I got home 45 minutes later (which is how long it takes to get from Fort St. John to Dawson Creek) . As soon as we walked in Chris went to the desk where his camera is kept, and said "where's my camera?!" When he said that, something in my head clicked and I looked over to where my camera was kept, on the counter near the table, and it was gone. We checked the house for anything else that was missing, and we discoverd that not only were our 2 digital cameras gone, but Chris' old camera, that we kept as a web cam, was gone as well as his laptop.
Chris' old camera was behind the monitor underneath a pile of stuff, and the laptop was in the hall closet underneath a backpack and Chris' jacket. (the laptop is in a laptop-backpack case)
As we were taking inventory of our stuff, Alex was getting in the way so I put him down for a nap. When I got up to his room, I discovered that his blinds had been disturbed. Then yesterday, Chris went into Alex' closet and discovered that things had been moved around, and that the brand new rubber roll-out keyboard, (for a computer) that we got for Alex, is also gone.

The stuff that was stolen from my house are just material objects, but what has bothered me the most (until yesterday) is that she was my best friend. Now what bothers me the most is that THEY WENT THROUGH MY SON'S BEDROOM!!!

The funny thing is, they left in such a hurry that jason left his msn open on our computer and Charlene left her wallet!!!!!!

Anyways, ttyl

Hello

Wow it's been a while. Alex is almost 23 months old now, how the time speeds away.
Last week at the doctors office I saw a little baby girl, she had be around a week old, and I wished that Alex was still that small. I'm not saying that he's not great anymore, but there are times that I wish he was still small and soley dependant on me again. I miss that! He's starting to talk more, he's got more words and he can identify most animals (whether it be by word or the noise it makes). If he can't say the animal, he'll make the noise that the animal makes. It's good for a laugh, and he's quite proud of it!

Ostin has discovered his reflection in the sliding glass doors. Our attention at night is often averted from the t.v. to the cat who's jumping around and trying to attack the cat in the reflection.

Work for Chris has slowed down a lot. Mainly because the rigs and camps can't do very much moving, it's so muddy, so everything has to wait until the ground starts to get firm again. They call it "spring break up." So now we're looking at going down to Kamloops in late May/early June. I'm kinda bummed about that, but hey what can ya do when the money's tight!!!

The snow was finally melting (for a while). It's now back around -15 again, apparently the negative weather is only supposed to last a few days and then it'll start getting warm again.
I can't wait to take Alex to the park. He can walk, so the phrase "Let's go the park" will have a whole different meaning for him! I can't wait!!!

Long night 2

Chris didn't get home till 5am. He started work at 5am and didn't get home till 5am. Needless to say he got the day off after that. He was going to stay over night at the rigging camp that they had worked on but he decided not to. He said that he would rather get home in wee small hours of the morning, sleep in his own bed with the woman he loves, get woken up by the cutest little boy in the world, and relax, instead of sleeping on a small bed with another guy in the room at a place that isn't home!
Anyways, I'm going to bed!

Long night

Here I sit, bored out of my skin, waiting for Chris to come home. It's 12:37 am and he still hasn't called to tell me he's on his way. I think I'm just going to go to bed and read for a while. I'm so into this book called The Shelters of Stone (the most recent book in the Clan series) by Jean M. Auel.
I renamed my kitty, his name is now Ostin (pronounced Austin). The name Midnight, even though he's black, just didn't suit him. He weighs 4 lbs, and right now he smells like he's been asleep in the upstairs bathroom (which smells like oil of olay body wash)
for a while.
Well I should go

Not yet

In answer to my sisters question, no he does not play "Gravity" yet! Although he does play "What's that under the blanket!" We can't move after we get into bed without Midnight going nuts over all the things that move under the covers!!!
Anyways, gotta go

I'm so happy

We finally got a cat, well kitten. He's all black, dark blue green eyes, 10 weeks old, cuddley, and has an appetite like Alex does. He's so cute, name is Midnight.
I'm so happy because now my family is whole, it's like there was a void in our lives that is now filled with a rambunctious little "fuzzy wuzzy" that is at this moment galloping around upstairs and probably tearing my main bathroom. No I don't lock him in there, he just likes going in and knocking things off the shelves so that he can play with everything and make a huge mess. He's wonderful!!!

Long night

Well it was a long night the other night, but everything turned out fine. Rescue crews dug everyone out and there were no fatalities or injuries. Just some cold, hungry people.
So while I was home worried sick about Chris, he was making friends with the guys in the truck in front of him and havin an ok time!!!! He got lots pictures of all the snow pilling up around his truck!!
Anyways, gotta go

The Blizzard

It's the first Blizzard of 2007, and Chris is one of the people stuck on Braden Road between the Hart Highway and the Alaska Highway. He's been stuck since 7:00 last night, and it is now 12:31 pm. He's ok, he has a phone in his truck so he calls me to give me updates, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm extremely worried about him. There are a few more vehicles, with people in them, that are stuck and I'm sure their families are just as wooried as I am.
RCMP maintenance crews, Search and Rescue, and city crews are all working to get them home.
And my sincere THANKS to a nice farmer named Don (I think) for supplying the trucks with diesel this morning, you are truely a good samaritan.
